E.Z.N.A.® X-press Plasmid DNA Mini Kit

The E.Z.N.A.® X-press system provide a fast and simple plasmid purification method for routine molecular biology applications. This innovative technology significantly reduces processing time compared to traditional alkaline lysis-based methods. Plasmid isolation can be completed in less than 10 minutes.

The E.Z.N.A.® X-press Plasmid DNA Mini Kit is based on a proprietary technology to provide a fast and consistent method for molecular-grade plasmid DNA isolation. This kit uses a single solution to resuspend and lyse the culture and promote DNA binding to the column. After cell lysis, plasmid DNA is bound to the matrix of the X-press DNA Mini Column. After two simple wash steps, the bound plasmid DNA is eluted with from the column with low salt buffer and ready to use for downstream applications. Yield varies depending on the bacterial strain, growth conditions, media, and copy number of plasmid. Typically, a 1.5 mL overnight bacterial culture in LB media with high copy number plasmid will yield 3-8 μg plasmid DNA.
